LAURUS Network

El pasado 17 de septiembre de 2025, miércoles, tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir al 1er webinar dentro del proyecto LAURUS Network, titulado “El Mercado Voluntario de Carbono y los Proyectos de Carbono en el Uso del Suelo en Europa.”
La sesión reunió a 151 participantes de distintos países y fue ofrecida por Pablo Rodríguez-Noriega Alonso, Líder del Programa de Clima y Restauración en la organización internacional sin ánimo de lucro “Preferred by Nature”, La sesión ofreció una visión general de cómo los propietarios forestales y los gestores de tierras pueden sacar partido de los mercados de carbono. El seminario web presentó ejemplos reales de proyectos de carbono con el objetivo de inspirar a los pequeños propietarios forestales europeos que actualmente esperan metodologías prácticas adaptadas a sus propiedades de menor escala y buscan generar valor mediante una mejor gestión forestal.

On Wednesday, 17 September 2025, we had the opportunity to attend the first webinar within the LAURUS Network project, entitled ‘The Voluntary Carbon Market and Land Use Carbon Projects in Europe.’

The session brought together 151 participants from different countries and was presented by Pablo Rodríguez-Noriega Alonso, Climate and Restoration Programme Leader at the international non-profit organisation ‘Preferred by Nature’. The session provided an overview of how forest owners and land managers can take advantage of carbon markets. The webinar presented real-life examples of carbon projects with the aim of inspiring small European forest owners who are currently waiting for practical methodologies adapted to their smaller-scale properties and seeking to generate value through better forest management.
